Question Debian server sends to much Traffic to the Internet

Greetings. I have a server running on Debian with KOHA installed to offer e-library resources to users. My problem is that whenever i connect this server to the network (Public IP), it sends /uploads too much data to the internet and this has made my ISP to complain. Now i risk to be blacklisted by my ISP.When i disconnect it from the network, my graphs stabilize. How can i control this in order to bring my network graphs on the side ISP back to normal. Thanks in advance

You need to know the nature of the traffic, i.e. protocol and (if TCP or UDP) ports and source/destination addresses. Tools like wireshark or iptraf may help.

I'd agree that this may be odd and you need to closely monitor who to and what is being uploaded.

If all the uploads look OK then maybe consider something to limit upload speeds.
