Connecting to internet on Suse 9.1


Hi,

I'm using Suse 9.1 from 2 weeks ago. The only thing I can't manage to get work is connect to the internet.

I installed the eagle-usb drivers and it seems it connects to the internet, but I can't get anywhere. The file /etc/resolv.conf has the right DNS adresses.

But I think the problem is here:

Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
192.168.153.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 0 0 0 ppp0
127.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 U 0 0 0 lo
0.0.0.0 192.168.153.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 ppp0

Any ideas?

Um, yea. It's hard to connect to the internet when you are routing it into your lan. Please provide some hardware details. Until the 2nd coming, nobody here will be psychic.

I have one ethernet card connected by a crossover cable to another computer. This card is eth0.
I have a Comtrend CT350 ADSL USB modem connected to my ISP with dynamic ip. This modem is connected with pppoe and when the modem is synchronized eth1 is created.

So, resuming:

eth0: home lan
eth1: ADSL USB modem
pppo: linked to eth1 when connected to the internet

If you need more information I will post it

Which ISP ?
which version of the eagle-usb driver ?
eagleconfig should not have configured it like this (available since versions 1.9.x)
