Can't bring up Ethernet
I have two Linux (Redhat 8.0) machines right next to each other, connected with a reverse ethernet cable. Both machines can boot Windows, also, and I can network them with Windows. So the cable works and the ethernet cards work.
But with Linux, eth0 fails at boot time, and trying to activate it with SYSTEM SETTINGS --> NETWORK DEVICE CONTROL (as suggested by the documentation) also fails.
Not sure where to start -- all suggestions gratefully accepted.
