bond0 not working

Hi,

I have setup bonding on my machine using code from https://docs.slackware.com/howtos:mi...terace_bonding

I cannot ping LAN 192.168.8.1 and one.one.one.one.

Removing the bond0 interface, the network is back and alive

How do I troubleshoot this ?

Hello Jheengut,

Common bonding aka 802.3ad or LACP also requires another device to connect to such as a network switch that supports it.
We do this all the time mostly with fibre uplinks between sites and copper uplinks to servers in datacentres, so it should be easy to troubleshoot.

Do you have a network switch and could you please post make & model?

mea culpa for late reply

The switch is D-Link DGS-108, not netgear.

No worries.
Makes no difference, this is a desktop switch that is unmanaged.
Cannot do anything with it.
