Auth log tool


Hi folks!

Does anyone know of a tool that can show me the log files in a "orderly fashion"? Syslog or something like it.

Id like to have the posibility to sort. Like I want to know who tryed to hack me and how many tryes.
And it has to run as command line or in w2k.

Tnx 4 any help!!!

Does any one use a syslog at all? If so what type?
