apache server

Hi,

newbie here, trying to configure an apache server here.
I have install the apache and got the httpd to run, and I am able to view my test page using http://localhost.

1. How do we determine and configure the server IP? (I am trying to put the server IP as 192.168.0.1)
2. when I tried to access http://192.168.0.1, it tells me connection refuse.

any ideas??

Any firewalls on that system? Write in /etc/hosts.allow "apache:ALL"

Is that the actual server IP ? That IP seems more like a router/gateway IP address ??

Ok thanks guys .. now I can view using 192.168.0.1 on the server.

But got another problem. I have a dial in client (IP 192.168.0.2) that uses PPP connection. The client can connect, the httpd is running and apache is listening to port 80.

However the client cannot see the apache test page using 192.168.0.1. Pinging is no problem.

1. What can be wrong?
2. Is it the browser problem? (although I dun think so)
