I want to share my folder /data/works/pt/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.wst.server.core/tmp0/wtpwebapps y using ftp


i installed vsftpd package
#useradd sharedfiles
#passwd sharedfiles
#useradd -d /data/works/pt/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.wst.server.core/tmp0/wtpwebapps sharedfiles
#setfacl -m u:sharedfiles:rwx /data/works/pt/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.wst.server.core/tmp0/wtpwebapps
setfacl: /data/works/pt/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.wst.server.core/tmp0/wtpwebapps: Operation not supported

im getting 530 login error while accessing the folder

It does not appear to be acl issue rather it appears to me selinux issue.

From the error it appears that when you are logging in with that user account it is trying to change to the home directory but is unable to do so and that might be because of selinux.

Let us know the output of the following:

1. sestatus
2. getsebool -a | grep ftp
