500 OOPS: child died


hi all tnx for running the site i've found many usefull stuff here

i have a problem with vsftpd and i couldnt find the solution in the posts
when i try to login i get those messages:

PASS (hidden)
500 OOPS: chdir
500 OOPS: child died
Cannot login...

what should i do help

I don't know vsftpd but it sounds to me like your ftp program is trying to cd to a directory that doesn't exist.

Look in a conf file and make sure it's not trying to get to like /home/[directory that doesn't exist]

when you log in.
