we have squid 2.6 on a debian distro.
it worked great a long time.
now students complain that hotmail (
www.live.com ) is not working.
they can login, click on inbox see there emails but when they click on an email the screen gets white, or it just stay at the inbox.
when we put the ipadres of the url ( like
http://dtu128w.dtu128.live.mail.com) in the urlunblock file and restart squid often they can see there email.
but sometimes it don't work.
i already tried to put in the squid.conf :
acl mail dstdomain .live.com
always_direct allow live
still get students complain it wont work
what can i do about this ?
and what is a good upgrade ?
we want to install an new distro with squid on a virtual machine.
wich version is good ?
are there mod's, plugin's, tools to make it easyer for me ?
we want a proxy so that the student cannot go to website's we put in a file, same as ip adress.
of cours we also have a file for good website's
also a file for bad words in the url.
