Trying to install Ubuntu 15.04 on Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3113
Hello LQ
Trying to install Vivid on my GT2. I have the device specific package, but since the instructions on XDA were outdated by about 2 years, I can't find instructions for Vivid, only Saucy.
I found the daily builds of Vivid here, but I have no clue which ones I need. I'm pretty sure I need one for ARM, but as to boot, system or touch, I have no clue as to which one to get.
If anyone has done this before and would like to help, that'd be great! Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the warning. I have precautions set in place so that doesn't happen. If I didn't have that, it would be a brick after I attempted installing Android 5.

That's just it, I don't know. Yes, it may be, but other than downloading each one and testing them, I have no clue! According to the thread on XDA, they say that for Raring Ringtail I need raring-preinstalled-phablet-armhf.zip. There is no vivid-preinstalled-phablet-armhf.zip, so I have no clue which one(s) is/are the right one(s). That's kind of why I asked for someone who's done this before.
Found a tutorial on YouTube for a Nexus, but have no clue if it will work for a GT2. I'll try it.

Just noticed that all those on the cdimage page were IMG files. I can only install a ZIP from ClockWorkMod.
Also not sure if installing Ubuntu from Ubuntu desktop would install a generic/Nexus image.
I think if I can, I'll install Saucy and see if I can upgrade it. So far, it seems like the easiest, safest way. I have no clue if I can, but it's worth a shot I think.
EDIT: Asking here as well. Maybe someone there can freshen this up a bit.

Take your time and go slow.
Think about what the result will be before you make it final.
Nope, can't upgrade. Don't even have a settings app. I did however get it to boot, and other than everything blown up to about 500 and the keyboard not fitting on the screen, it was alright. Looks like I'm going to have to build it from scratch.
Yippee.
I think I can just install the Nexus image, then install the device specific part. It should boot, at least. If not I can scrap it and find another way.
