Anyone with inside info and experience owning one? The Freedom Phone comes with the Clear OS.

It's polite to include links when asking questions such as this.

A brief bit of searching reveals:
* The Freedom Phone openly targets US Conservatives, and sells for US$500.
* The hardware is the Umidigi A9 Pro, a whitelabel Android device which sells for US$120..200.
* The OS is not GNU/Linux - ClearOS Mobile is rebranded Android. It comes from ClearCellular/ClearFoundation - despite approximately a million different domains this appears to be the same people responsible for CentOS-based ClearOS GNU/Linux server distro.

In essence, the phone is just a cheap Chinese phone with LineageOS and the Aurora store on top
You shouldn't need to hear from an owner to know that such a purchase would be an unnecessary waste of money, irrespective of political views.
