Exclamation Read only file system for SD card

Because of some software defect, I can't save files to my SD card because it's read only. How to make it writable?

I'm on Fire OS, a type of "Android."

Fire HD 8 (10th generation)

Formatting the card worked temporarily, then it became read only again.

You don't mention what make of card it is, certain cards (SanDisk, for example) will set themselves read only if they detect a problem.

There's no way around it, re-formatting doesn't help.

Bin the card, life's too short.
