mounting asus zenfone 5 on slackware 14.1 distro


i would like to access my android phone (asus zenfone 5) through the terminal from my slackware 14.1 machine in mtp mode for media transfer thats basically transferring audio and video files to and fro...

i followed this article..

and yeh the article there is non-english but atleast the files there are good to go by...

bash4.2#mtpfs /mnt/my_android_phone

then i could cd to the phone folder and found the folders listed.....i can only see the folders but no files inside them though i can see them in the phone....

any permission issues?

i see the folder has DRW permission listed in my phone if that can help....

What process are you now? Did you find the solution already? Hmm, you translated the instructions to english or you can understand it?

I had similar results with mtpfs, some files/directories don't appear in the mountpoint. I ended up using jmtpfs which gives better results. YMMV.
