GCC compilation with the LFS

Hi everybody ,

I am doing the LFS from scratch . I have configured first package binutils. now I was going to install the GCC package . but it is giving some error .

command is :-
CC="gcc -B/usr/bin/" ./gcc-4.5.1/configure --prefix=/tools --with-local-prefix=/tools --disable-nls --enable-shared --enable-languages=c --disable-multilib --with-gmp=/tools --with-mpfr=/tools

error :

configure: error: Building GCC requires GMP 4.2+, MPFR 2.3.1+ and MPC 0.8.0+.
Try the --with-gmp, --with-mpfr and/or --with-mpc options to specify
their locations. Source code for these libraries can be found at
their respective hosting sites as well as at
ftp://gcc.gnu.org/pub/gcc/infrastructure/. See also
http://gcc.gnu.org/install/prerequisites.html for additional info. If
you obtained GMP, MPFR and/or MPC from a vendor distribution package,
make sure that you have installed both the libraries and the header
files. They may be located in separate packages.

I have already compiled with gmp and mpc and mpfr .

Please help me why it is going on ? Is there any solution then please tell me .

thanks

Your other post says GCC-4.5.1 ( Which is BOOK 6.7 )
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...inux-851516/#8

1) The command, you show, doesn't look like BOOK 6.7 .
LFS version and book version must be the the same.

2) When you have done 'gcc pass 1', chapter 5.5.1 , the next item is not gcc.
The next item is then chapter 5.6 .
