Android Tablet - Add Website Icon to Chrome Opening Page
When opening Chrome, on my Android tablet, there are seven website icons (shortcuts) shown. There is room for eight icons (shortcuts). I have not been able to identify a method to add and or edit any of these icons.
Please note: I am not referring to adding an icon to the tablets home screen. So far, all the "answers" that I have found refer to adding the shortcuts to the tablets homepage.
When I hold my finger on one of the Chrome icons, there are four options. Open in new tab, Open in incognito tab, download link, and Remove. Nothing for edit.
If I select the three vertical dots on the top right, there are nine options. Again, nothing that apparently points to editing and/or adding an icon (shortcut) to the Chrome opening screen.
Thanks for responding. The solution provided in post you referenced: "When you right-click on your desktop have you no options for creating shortcuts?" (emphasis added). But as I had written:

I am attempting to add/edit the icons to the Chrome "main" screen when Chrome loads, not the "desktop" or tablet home screen.
In Firefox, on a regular desktop PC, the icons can be edited. When you hover over the icon, three horizontal dots appear. If you click on those dots, you get options to modify the icons.
Thanks for responding once again. The link you provided looks promising, at least gives me more insight into what is going on. Also, liked the term "thumbnail tiles" as opposed to my use of "icon". When posting the type of question that I had posted, terminology can be very important for getting a correct answer.
