wireless networking broken

Hi guys

I had to have my Mobo replaced this week... Asus x52 with onboard NVidia 8600 pretty standard modern laptop... all went well... everything on my Mint installation seems to be working fine... as it was before... except the Wireless... at the moment I am using a usb wireless and that works fine... without it the wireless light shows on the case but that is all... no networks are found... it seems like the hardware is detected but there are no drivers... when I installed Mint it did everything auto so don't know what was there before... but whatever the setup was something has changed.

Could someone point me in the right direction to start... whilst i can continue to use the D-Link usb it is a worse connection than the onboard one and less convenienient...

Cheers
