video driver for via graphics card

MY SYSTEM

Hp pavilion a 720n
3200+ AMD Athlon XP processor
512 mb PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory
200 GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA hard drive
DVD+RW/CD-RW Double Layer 8X DVD/R/RW Drive with CD writer Capabilities
CD-ROM drive 48X max. Speed
integrated graphics with 64MB shared video memory
processor speed 2.20 GHZ, 512kb L2 cache, 400MHz Front Slide Bus

MY VIDEO CARD
VIA Technologies, inc. KM400/KN400P4M800 [S# Unichrome] (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

I would like to know if there is a linux driver for the previous video card that will work better for linux mint cinnamon.
I would also like to know what part of that video card information i need to plug into the device line in xorg.conf. For instance, is it all of that line or eliminate some part like the "via technologies, inc. "
I have had 2 answers on the question as to whether it WILL or WILL NOT work on the cinnamon 3D system.

Thanks,
Nate

Yes I have posted on linux mint. Is it bad that i used 2 forums???? I got some answers there too but Did not solve it except that I just finally figured it was not going to work with that video card.... I finally just used a different computer with a better card in it and cinnamon works fine on it ... In fact I'm super impressed with cinnamon.
install it and it works just fine though i had to use 2 computers that's better than I have ever done with anything besides ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop. I am not using the laptop yet but it has a working ubuntu 12.04 on it. As soon as i get everything the way i want it in mint cinnamon I will go over there and try to get it out of my wife's hands (she uses the windows side) and get it the way I want it ... but in the mean time i have a lot to learn here... A LOT!

[actually I started on the original computer of this post to install ubuntu 12.04 but it would not finish it's install I still have no idea why ..... ubuntu installed on my laptop just fine but the desktop i was trying just did not finish]

Thanks,
Nate

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that it was wrong to post on two forums. I just meant that maybe they would have answers that we didn't.

I'm sorry that you couldn't get the original computer working with Mint Cinnamon, but I'm glad that you got it working on a different computer, and I'm glad that you like it.

Cheers
