i was using Mint with a guest session, i locked it - it is one option in the system menu -, and now, i am trying to get back to my session.
When any action is done, a screen written "This session is locked [|] In a few seconds, you will be in the unlocking dialog". But after a few seconds, what appears is another login screen! Further, this other login session is on ctrl+alt+f8, while my session (still locked) is on ctrl+alt+f7.
I tried to get help with the computer administrator, but the person has no clue of how this guest session thing works, besides the basic of "when the computer shuts down or is turned off, all the data is gone".
Is there a way to get the session reopened from where they are left?
I tried a few "obvious searches", but did not find answer
I tried a few "obvious searches" like you suggest, but did not find anything. I tried it again, now, also including your suggestion. I found this thread!
p.s.: Impressive search engine, Duckduckgo, which i used! (as always) Every new day i am more proud and happy to use it.
had some good info? I'm not too familiar with using guest sessions aside from setting up a user account for someone (or even running live seems closely related) in which case your root account should still have access to all the data? Maybe, where is guest account home folder in Mint
