Question Problem booting Linux Mint 15 Live (USB and DVD)

I'm tying to boot LM 15 live on my 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro 5,1.
I can get it to show up on Refit and Refind, and the countdown screen shows up but it gets to the next screen and freezes.

I tried using different methods to install it but i get the same result.

I even tried to use grub 2.0 to boot it, but it tells me to load the kernels first. So i try to find forums that loads kernel manually, but keep coming up with errors. So I'm out of ideas and need help.

I guess you stumbled upon a bug I described a few days ago, too. Have a look at DavidMcCann's comment a few posts further down; he explains that this is "a bug inherited from Ubuntu", which Mint is derived from, and that it can be circumvented be choosing failsafe boot.

I haven't tried yet, however.
