Political nonsense sinks Mint

Hi there fellow Mint users.

Read this blog from Clem. He has created a storm in the Mint community by espousing his political views and telling us to change distros if we don't agree.

http://www.linuxmint.com/blog/?p=773

Mint has shot itself in the foot. Good bye.

John

I had to stare at that blog for several minutes to get any clue what he was talking about. But, regardless, why do we want to start a new flame war here?

Cool

Clem is entitled to his opinion, just like everyone else.
it is - after all HIS Blog

& his site !!.

I doubt that many will leave LM - it's a very good distro.

I seriously doubt that Mint will lose many users over this. It is his blog and his decision. However, he has enabled comments on his blog and it would be better to discuss or question his decision there, rather than spread it over other sites. And that is why I am closing this thread.

[edit] It also appears that this was a one off and that he has drawn a line under it: http://www.linuxmint.com/blog/?p=775
