intel soc dts thermal: request threaded irq ret -22. Keyboard and mouse lock up, fan becomes noisily active.

I have been getting lockups of keyboard and mouse in LM18. I have updated to the latest kernel in the update manager[5]. Dmesg has this message in red text.

intel_soc_dts_thermal: request_threaded_irq ret -22

I think the issue may be thermal or Atomic Processor related. When it locks up, shortly afterwards, the fan starts working noisily.

So what do I do about this message. Recompile kernel?
