The mount point is
Code:
/media/jim/AC99-9892
and the message is
Code:
Unable to run the command specified. The file or folder file:///media/jim/AC99-9892 does not exist.
Permissions are
Code:
> cd /media
> ls -Al
total 12
drwxr-x---+ 3 root root 4096 May 14 11:23 jim

bash: cd: jim: Permission denied
> sudo su
[sudo] password for jim:
# cd jim
# ls -Al
total 12
drwx------ 6 jim jim 4096 Jan 1 1970 AC99-9892
Edit:
I checked out the "+" in the permissions for jim.
Code:
# getfacl jim
# file: jim
# owner: root
# group: root
user::rwx
user:1000:r-x
group::---
mask::r-x
other::---
An old practice has bitten me. To simplify access to stuff across multiple distros I use a common user:group, which I specify when creating the user. This time I do not remember having the option to do that. I was initially assigned user id 1000, but manually changed it this time. Now jim must have been created before I changed the id and has an acl using user 1000.
I deleted /media/jim, plugged in the USB drive again, and was able to view its contents in Dolphin with no problems.
I think the error message might be a bit more clear...
