customizing the iso onlive CD

Hi,
I used mintconstructor
I created an iso for cd on live mint12, it seems running correctly, but it took a very long time , cause is probably the mksquashfs
it freezes a 12 %, I don't know why.
Is it possible to ovoid the mksquashfs, I haven't a space pb since I put the iso in usb key

PS: I did once with smaller image

thanks for any idea
regards

Does that mean that you are doing it while running Mint as Live system? Then the cause for the freeze is most likely that you run out of RAM, since all changes on the filesystem are stored in RAM. I would strongly recommend to try that with an installed Mint. If you don't want to install Mint on your system natively you can use Virtualbox and install it in a virtual machine.

No, making the squashfs-image is an essential part, it is compressing the file-system of your customized Mint into a file-system container that can be used by the new Live-CD. Without compressing it to a squashfs it would be way to large.
