can not update packages

I get this message:

You have 2 broken packages on your system!
Use the "Broken" filter to locate them.

Go to synaptic and edit tab select fix broken package and see if that fixes the problem.
If not try runing this command
Code:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
post any error messages you get.
