Two days ago, I found my Debian desktop empty and blue (the color). As I could not remember what had caused the phenomenon and the configuration files imposed quite correctly a clean and empty desktop, I had to populate a Rox-Filer pinboard again. This time I added icons for some bash-routines which I normally would call from an already open terminal window.

This is Fluxbox with fbpanel and a Rox-Filer pinboard.

I think my screenshot here might prove that antix is a pointless distro one can just do a debian minimal install and setup icewm etc...otehr than that it is nothing special. Icewm recently released a new major version. Icewm+rox-nmtui+volumeicon+udiskie etc... faster linux DE ever ! It is not that pretty but is less bloated and faster than xfce.

There is a lot more to antiX than just Debian plus IceWM.

Saying AntiX is Deb on Ice is like calling LMDE a Deb w/Cinnamon.
Ever seen an old Chevy 'vette that just happened to have a 500 HP small block in it ?
Oh. That's just a vette with a 327 in it.

@ DraoSentien

If you look more closely you will see that there are many really useful extras included, created by the clever folks that make this distro, that aren't in Debian, & all in a small distro.
