how to use vi editor to looking trouble hardware?

As you were told in your other thread, you type in "vi <name of file>", and press ENTER. That will open the file up. Since vi is only an editor, it will NOT help you diagnose problems, just view files.

Read the man page on vi, or try Google and read some of the VERY easily-found vi tutorials.

You READ the file, look for error(s), and then look up what the errors mean.
