UI does not appear after services startup

Hello All,

I am new to Linux and Linux Mint. I own a Asus n56D laptop with Radeon HD 7730 graphics card. I have used Linux Mint Cinnamon for couple of weeks and all went fine with dual boot with Windows 8. However, when I installed proprietory graphics drivers for my graphics card, sometimes Linux Mint UI does not show up. After couple of restarts I could see the UI. But restart technique does not work every time. It would be really helpful if someone can guide me to investigate & resolve the issue.

Here is my boot.log The screen stuck here and UI is not loaded.
Code:
Begin: Loading essential drivers ... done.
Begin: Running /scripts/init-premount ... done.
Begin: Mounting root file system ... Begin: Running /scripts/local-top ... done.

Begin: Running /scripts/local-bottom ... done.

Rather than invoking init scripts through /etc/init.d, use the service(8)
utility, e.g. service S30mdm start
initctl: Unknown job: S30mdm

Since the script you are attempting to invoke has been converted to an
Upstart job, you may also use the start(8) utility, e.g. start S30mdm
