Unhappy Time changes by 10-30 mins on boot


Hi folk,
I am running a compaq presario m2000 with a turion ml28 processor on suse 10.2 everything runs fine except that each time I boot the machine I find that the time has advanced by between 10 and 30 mins, whilst machine is on the time remains stable.
Any ideas?

I have had similar issues with some distros, so I use ntpdate and ntpd to keep the time correct.
