Does the following make any sense for my case?;
edit /etc/default/grub (you must edit with sudo rights) and add the following to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT line "optimus-manager.startup=nvidia ". be aware you have to add this parameter to the already existing ones. after editing do an sudo update-grub sudo mkinitcpio -P reboot

No idea, since you posted a bunch of stuff about your machine that we don't need to know, haven't told us what version/distro of Linux you're using, what brand/models of monitors you're using, how they're connected, or to what video cards. We can't guess.
Post relevant information and we may be able to help. But based on the very little you did provide, it looks as if you've got a USB monitor....be aware that not all USB ports can actually provide a video signal, and DisplayPort can be VERY problematic.
Well TBone, thank you for your insights. You are the second person in different forums, who have been less than friendly in advising me. I will happily send any information if I am given what I need to from the machine?
As I haven't been written to in such a fashion in 20 years of using Linux until this last week, I wonder, is it something in the air, water, Mercury retrograde, or maybe I'm just a fool who deserves this treatment?
Might you you deign to advise me, I will send what is needed.

You have been using Linux now for *TWELVE YEARS*, according to your posting history. And since you're getting told the same things in multiple forums, you may want to consider that it's your behavior and questions that are causing the problems.
AGAIN:
You haven't told us what version/distro of Linux you're using
You haven't told us what brand/models of monitors you're using
You haven't told us how these monitors are connected
You haven't told us what video cards/outputs they're connected TO
And you come back to complain that people are 'less than friendly', and the sarcastic 'might you deign to advise me' attitude, after being asked specifically these things previously???
Again: post relevant information and we may be able to help. But based on the very little you did provide, it looks as if you've got a USB monitor....be aware that not all USB ports can actually provide a video signal, and DisplayPort can be VERY problematic. Much like your other threads about your keyboard, where you again provided nothing about the keyboard, what you did/tried, etc.: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...op-4175728736/
...or your thread about Firefox where the only problem description was "weird errors"?? We can't guess....what you're doing is like calling a mechanic and saying "My car won't run, it's blue, with these size tires, and it takes gasoline and 10W40 oil, and it has a sunroof. What can I do???", and expecting them to answer.
Well TBone, thank you for your insights. You are the second person in different forums, who have been less than friendly in advising me.
The world would be a better place if people stopped mistaking directness as unfriendliness.

TB0ne has already clearly stated information that you should have provided but didn't: what version/distro of Linux you're using, what brand/models of monitors you're using, how they're connected, or to what video cards.
You've already used the inxi command - different flags will provide more information, and using "
..
" tags when posting command output makes it easier to read.
I can't find much information about this particular generic device but it seems to match the thread above. I have no idea if it is supported in linux but seems doubtful. It might help if you post the line from from the output of the lsusb command to check out its USB device information but probably not real helpful. In my opinion your time might be better spent finding another adapter that is supported.
In addition, it would also help if you posted the make and model number of your laptop as well.

Yep...asked for these things previously, as well as mentioning the USB monitor, and the possible problems thereof. There are some USB ports (either on hubs or motherboards) that don't support video, especially on older machines. DisplayPort can be spotty, period, but the OP won't answer.

Monitor is an AOC 24G2 which was on a Lenovo 910s desktop that had too many issues, and with Mint 21.2, where it was the only monitor,it worked great. The machine had non video issues. Therefore the use on the laptop.

*AGAIN* as you were asked, put things in CODE tags and post RELEVANT information. I don't think it's too hard to say, "I've got a Thinkpad T430S, with an AOC 24G2 monitor running Manjaro version xxx", is it??? Versus a huge blob of text containing things about your audio and fan speeds, and then expecting us to parse through it to try to help you,
You also STILL haven't answered the simple questions asked:
You told us ONE of the monitors...are they both the same?? Doubtful, since your last text-dump contained hints about a USB monitor.
How are these two monitors connected???
You said Manjaro...how about telling us the version? Kernel 6.1 is in the text-dump, but what actual version and is it updated???
Answer questions asked or no one, anywhere, will be able to help you.
As of 2023-08-24 there is no official vendor 345f in the linux USB database so it seems unlikely the adapter is supported. By 2nd monitor are you trying to connect 2 external monitors to the laptop?
I'm assuming that this is a USB DisplayLink (I incorrectly said DisplayPort earlier, which is totally different) monitor. Unless the OP installs the DisplayLink and EVDI drivers and starts the service, there is NO CHANCE such a monitor will work.
I looked up this model, it is supposed to have mini DisplayPort and VGA out. One of these should fit any monitor out there, using proper adapters.
That's only one of the monitors they mentioned, and they want to have two. Haven't told us how anything is connected, or what brand/model the other monitor is...we're all just guessing.
