Looking for anybody with information on Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 14 i5-560 and VT-d
I am looking at buying a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 14" with an i5-560 and wanted to know if anybody had one and could confirm there is an option in the BIOS for VT-d. I haven't been able to find anything on Lenovo's site clearly stating if this system supports VT-d. I have a local store that has one with an i3 processor and it supports VT-x. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
However I am still attempting to find out if the BIOS supports the VT-d feature, Intel's spec sheet has plenty of information on the CPU itself, yet I have found nothing from Lenovo concerning the BIOS of this notebook. I have found some review of other budget priced notebooks where VT-x/VT-d was completely disabled at the BIOS level and not an available option. Lenovo's website is quite spartan in practical details on the system specifications as I assume they cycle through CPUs, Main Board, wireless cards, etc. on a regular basis.
Best bet, if you have this notebook with an i5 series processor, or know someone that has and can check the BIOS that would be awesome, if not I will attempt to contact Lenovo when they are next open and get details as their sales staff can supply them.
