Looking: driver for MMC/SD support for OZ711M3/MC3 4-in-1 MemoryCardBus

I know MMC/SD support doesn't exist for the OZ711M3. But does anybody have any 'insider' information, gripes, or wishes on a driver for this? Does anybody care about it?

02 Micro, the manufacture, seems to have no interest in this product even through it still appears to be on some laptops and tablets out there. From what I have seen it appears on at least some HP, Acer, and Fujitsu laptops/tablets

Well it appears while writing this I may have found a link to a project sight some what relating to O2 Micro and pcmcia smartcard readers
https://gna.org/projects/o2scr

Lets give that a try.

EDIT:
Well after testing it out on a 2.6.29.6 kernel with both pcsc-lite versions 1.5.5 and 1.6.0, everything initializes without errors and the device link /dev/o2scr is created But when I insert my Micro SD card adapter with micro sd HC 4gb card, nothing happens. I'm going to assume for the moment that this is because the card reader is too old and can never support the HC format. Additionally, if the card reader is really old, it won't even support old format SD cards of 2g and 4g sizes. Which leaves me with trying to find an old outdated 1g card.

Why bother? I really only want to use it for unlocking a luks encrypted drive on boot... which may be even more complicated when I have to include the pcsc-lite daemon onto the initrd image... Is that even possible?

EDIT EDIT:
Well I'm stupid. Yeah that driver works. At least everything initializes. The driver is actually for the "SmartCard" reader which is a different card slot all together... Lets see if I can continue my search for the MMC/SD functionality.

EDIT EDIT EDIT:
How odd. OK I left the SD card in the slot at boot and ended up with
scsi2 : pata_pcmcia
ata1: PATA max PIO0 cmd 0x2120 ctl 0x212e irq 3
ata1: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0)
ata1: SRST failed (errno=-16)
ata1: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0)

ata1: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0)
ata1: SRST failed (errno=-16)
ata1: SRST failed (errno=-16)
ata1: reset failed, giving up

So I had the driver all along? it really falls under the pata_pcmcia driver? Being that I can't get this to initialize after boot, I'm going to assume it's not a hot swap-able SD slot and the tablet was also made it 2004. Which means? I'm stuck with 1 gig SD cards. HOPEFULLY, it does work but it's so old that it can't even handle the later generation SD cards that support 2gig and 4gig. Let alone the SCHC format which is 4gig to 32gig.
