Lenovo X60 - Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 - 3D acceleration not working...!!??
Im Running Gutsy 7.10 on my IBM/Lenovo X60 laptop... Im having a difficult time getting video graphics acceleration to work... 3D chess is not working and i have installed OpenGL etc.. so I tried brutal chess and it runs terrible... all drivers are installed correctly (i think)??...This is my first linux setup so any help would be great....
I ran glxgears and this was the output.
~$ glxgears
3944 frames in 5.0 seconds = 788.166 FPS
1135 frames in 5.0 seconds = 226.956 FPS
1149 frames in 5.0 seconds = 229.792 FPS
1144 frames in 5.0 seconds = 228.718 FPS
1148 frames in 5.0 seconds = 229.598 FPS
1132 frames in 5.0 seconds = 226.392 FPS
1130 frames in 5.0 seconds = 225.879 FPS
1129 frames in 5.0 seconds = 225.786 FPS
1131 frames in 5.0 seconds = 226.141 FPS
glxinfo calls up no problem. Direct Rendering comes back YES. Not to sure whats goin on here. Still lagging big time with graphics etc. I can't even move a chess piece on "Brutal Chess". Let me know what you think.
