Is redhat9 compatibility with my compaq laptop

My laptop is Compaq 1200 Model:12XL506
intel celeron 766MHz
128 sdram
harddisk 10GB
VGA: Trident CyberBlade i1 AGP(77) 4mb
PCMCIA:smc EZ connect turbo 22Mbps wireless card bus apater
Model:smc2435w

I want to know if it compatibal with Redhat 9 or another version.
I'm ever try redhat 8 before but it didn't work much. Please help I'm so sick of Windows but I still need to use it!
any suggestion?

Check out SuSE 8.2. I installed it with virtually no problems on a Presario 2170. You can get a live evaluation CD on SuSE that will let you see how it will work on your machine.
