I need to know what driver to use

I have a dell Inspiron 8100 laptop. I found a site that tells what to do in setup of redhat 9 for my model, but If i select what it says to select, x-windows stops loading.... so what do I do? with these settings, my display is very small in the center of my screen...

ah. thanks. I was wondering about that, but I didn't know what I needed. Now I just have to boot up linux..

wait: once i install the drivers, should I change the display to "generic laptop display capable of 1600x1200", or just change the resolution?

well, just make sure that the resolution u want doesn't exceed that capabilities of ur LCD. if it can do 1600x1200, then use it.
