how to install 3com pcmcia card

I have determined that my PCMCIA card 3com CC2560 is a winmodem and I was trying to figure out how to install it? If linux is recognizing it, I can't find it. I am working mostly in the shell prompt because I don't have much gui installed. ANy suggestions?

okay, your going to need to get drivers for your modem, go to winmodems.org and try to see if they have the drivers for it, if they do, follow the directions for installing them, if they don't try and see if anyone has had any luck with it by googling it. your probably going to need your kernel source code downloaded and uncompressed into /usr/src. as for the gui, you really don't need one unless your not comfortable with command line, in that case make a separate post about the error message you get, graphics card you have, and your configuration files
