Explain normal programs? You have open source alternatives to most programs. As far as office, you have Open Office/Libre Office, which is pretty much an open source clone of office. And you can install skype on ubuntu no problem
Repo: it does boot on my other laptop..dunno what could be the problem.
Josh: with normal programs i meant like all the programs, i tried to install google chrome...but i couldnt, so i will try ubuntu and i will see. still dont get the linpus thing....how do install things?? how am i gonna install ubuntu here? thanx again and im really sorry for all this...but well im not familiar with linpus at all
That is why I am recommending Ubuntu. Ubuntu has a package manager to install needed software and programs, and the distribution is made more for beginners of linux.
Repo: yes, it does
Josh: well mm now ive installed it but i cant run it cause it asks me for my login and password...but when im trying to type the password nothing happens...whats wrong now??
