Question Gnome Pilot does not recognize my Palm VIIx.

Hello to all. I have a Dell Latitude CP running Redhat 8. I cannot seem to figure out why Gnome Pilot cannot recognise my Palm VIIx. I have tried /dev/pilot , /dev/tty0, and /dev/tty1 but to no avail. Forgive my newbieness. I have forgotten more than I have learned since becoming interested in Linux. Please help if question is not to stupid! Thanks in advance for your input!
I probably don't have a module loaded correctly so I will include the contents of lsmod below. Also, if we get this problem solved, maybe you could help with the sound card problem I am having with same machine!

I don't know about your PDA, but on some PDAs the file only exists while the hot sync is in action. To get mine setup, I went into dev and listed as soon as hotsync was pressed. Then I typed out the symbolic link command and hit it right after the next hot sync.
So:

Step 1: find out what file your PDA is linked to. It might be /dev/ttyUSB*, or /dev/usb/tts/*, or something like that.
Step 2: make a link to that as /dev/pilot.

Hope that helps.

You were right on Zoombie! No symbolic link to /dev/pilot. Found it at /dev/ttys0. It works there so I will leave it alone. Thanks for your help!
