Fail to upgrade linux to kernel 2.6.5

my linux is rh9 kernel 2.4.20-8 ,gcc version is 3.2.2
the following is my upgrade process
first is "make menuconfig"
secand is "make",the first 2 steps are very good.
but when i do "make install" the question is coming
it said "can't find modules viamraid for kernel 2.6.5",it is so odd, because i had selected all the options for the scsi..
how can i resolve this question ,?

ps:my hardisk is seagate s-ata 80g,and my cpu is amd 2500+,northbridge is via kt600,southbridge is via 8237
