Unhappy Cannot get Intel 3945 to work with ndiswrapper on Debian 3.1r1

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 running on Debian 3.1r1

It has an Intell PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network card. I installed ndiswrapper and got it to work with no hassle.

To install the driver I do:

deb:~# ndiswrapper -i /root/driver/w39n51.inf
Installing w39n51
deb:~#

So no problems so far. Now, if I check installed drivers I get:
deb:~# ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
w39n51 driver present, hardware present
deb:~#

Again, no problems so far. Then, if I try to install the module I get the following:

deb:~# modprobe ndiswrapper
deb:~# dmesg | grep ndiswrapper
ndiswrapper version 1.1 loaded (preempt=no,smp=no)
ndiswrapper (import:238): unknown symbol: ntoskrnl.exe:strncat
ndiswrapper (import:238): unknown symbol: ntoskrnl.exe:KeQueryTickCount
ndiswrapper (import:238): unknown symbol: NDIS.SYS:NdisIMCopySendPerPacketInfo
ndiswrapper (load_sys_files:456): unable to prepare driver 'w39n51'
ndiswrapper (ndiswrapper_load_driver:114): couldn't load driver 'w39n51'
deb:~#

Looks like the driver needs a Windows executable. Anybody familiar with this issue?

Has anybody been successful installing the driver for Intel 3945ABG?

Thanks
Jorge

Why do you want to use NdisWrapper and not the native Linux driver from Intel?
