Cannot access internet via firefox browser - HP nx9600

I can do nslookups on web sites but cannot access any web sites via firefox browser. I have installed Fedora 14 on a HP Compaq nx9600. I have checked the firewall and also disabled SE Linux.

I connect to a netopia dsl router. When I look at the network connection, the status shows that the network connection is up and running.

Any ideas would be appreciated,

In the Firefox window click on File in the Menu bar. The look down to see if "Work Offline" is checked.

Thanks for the info. After checking firefox settings, turns out I had to disable ipv6 and restart firefox. I can now connect to web sites.
