Exclamation AE Already Exists no 2nd monitor on MSI Raider Laptop

My wife started a new job. I have an MSI Laptop brand new of this year. Long story short she has to have a 2nd monitor for her work. The 2nd monitor works fine with windows. She uses a Linux based system bootable from USB to load her software for work. Whenever she boots into her usb it gives the above errors and will not allow her to use the 2nd monitor. It doesn't turn on or anything just black. If I were to take this usb to my MSI desktop it works fine and both monitors work which is why I think it's something with the settings in the laptop. There is not much Bios wise that I can do on the laptop. Not too many settings available for me to change. Does anyone know anywhere to start to help me fix this?? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums!

Does this laptop have hybrid graphics? Like nVidia Optimus or similar? I don't think ACPI errors are relevant, this laptop has buggy ACPI implementation but it should not stop you from using a second monitor.

You did not answer my question. nVidia card is often used as part of hybrid graphics solution. If you run lspci in a terminal window, is there another VGA device, Intel?

We do not know the model of the laptop, we do not know the flavor of Linux, we do not know what kind of graphics this laptop has.

There really is no way someone could help you only knowing you have a MSI laptop with second monitor not working in some unknown Linux distro.

I suspect this laptop has hybrid graphics and creators of this Linux USB did not foresee it to be used with such graphics.
To save time, I suggest she asks creators of this USB how to use it with her MSI laptop.

Sorry I'm at work so I don't have all the major info that you need. I do believe the usb was made from GNU Ghub or something like that. It logs into a stratodesk software on the main. She has been trying to work with the technicians that made the usb but they are not of much help. The laptop is a 2022 MSI GE76 Raider 11UE-046. I bought it off amazon without having access to it at the moment here are some of the specs. Apparently its only a 3060 not the ti version. I do agree with you I don't think they suspected someone to be using a laptop like this.

What Linux distribution?

Also, it is weird to load a USB based distribution for work. An internal disk installation is far better if you are using your computer for work.

They can make a USB based distribution and cannot figure how to give output to a second monitor? This is strange.

Yeah basically. We ended up going and buying a different laptop just for her work from walmart and it works fine. I think my laptop is just to advanced for their software.
