Smile To improve Linux forum

Let us have subsections having names of the different linux kernels [2.4, 2.6 etc..]. In this way it would be easy for everyone to get into the proper sub-section which is useful to them..

Also, let us make sub-sections of different flavours of Linux, so that we could categorize the issues...

Anyone, please feel free to post their comments...

I don't really think there's much need to make another subsection for different types of kernel (and besides just the vanilla 2.6 and 2.4, there are modified kernels.. don't know how many of those exist, but you'd imagine quite a few). Also, there are forums for various distributions here. If you want to find out why a particular distro doesn't have its own forum, do a search, as this has been asked a lot.

Edit: also, this should be in the Website Suggestions & Feedback forum, but a mod will probably move it there eventually.

What do you want to know? Check out the release notes for the current version on www.kernel.org.
