Hello
Distribution: gentoo
Kernelversion: 2.6.34-gentoo-r12
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 4850e
After migrating to a new motherboard and to a new kernel (from 2.6.29-gentoo-r5 to 2.6.34-gentoo-r12), I find the nfsd no longer working.
Trying to start it either with /etc/init.d/rpc.nfsd or directly via the command line results in a console freeze. Logging in onto another console is possible. If I however issue a command (like 'ls') it freezes as well.
The nfsd kernel module seems to load fine: Loading it manually, I get the following messages in /var/log/messages:
Nov 27 10:49:25 ztron [ 350.758128] RPC: Registered udp transport module.
Nov 27 10:49:25 ztron [ 350.758131] RPC: Registered tcp transport module.

I could need some help ....
Thanks
Tilman
PS I posted it in the kernel news group as I feel that it is more related to the kernel than to networking.
