proper way to cleanup 'struct socket'

If I create a socket from within my kernel module as such ...
Code:
    err = sock_create(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, IPPROTO_TCP, newsock);
... then what's the proper way to cleanly "cleanup/destroy" this socket from within a module?
