Angry Intel 536ep chipset problem

Hi,
I'm using an intel 536ep-based modem under FC4. I got the driver directly from intel's site, but after a few time i'm connected (dial up) to the internet my pc locks and i have to restart it.
I tried to upgrade my distro to a 16k-stack kernel but the bug hasn't been fixed. Does anybody know something about? Could upgrade to FC5 be a solution?

Thanks, bye
Patecone
