Unhappy How to find kernel source for Mandrake 10


Hello people....
I am from India....currently doing my B.E..can anyone please provide with a link to get kernel source for Mandrake 10.0
and one more thing i want to mention is that....i browsed through cd3 of mandrake 10.0 and found a file named "kernel-source-2.6-2.6.11-6mdk.i586"
I installed it in my system ppl......am able to locate all those stuff like unistd.h and other headers but am unable to find entry.S file to update my new system call.....can anyone plz help me as soon as possible..i have to submit my assignment

I have changed the title of your thread, so that it reflects the contents. Please use thread titles that reflect what your thread is about.

As for the Mandrake 10 kernel source code, the package you installed from your installation discs is the right one.

hi reddazz..thanx for the reply.....am extremely sry...a small correction in my previous post.....am using Mandrake 10.2 not 10.0.....is it the same for 10.2 also.....u mentioned that that was the right package....then wat about entry.S
can u plz tell me where my entry.S is???!!!!!

Its the same thing. The kernel-source package you installed from the discs is the right package. I don't know know what entry.S is.

hi reddazz.....entry.S is a file found in linux/arch/i386/kernel/ in Redhat and some other linux versions.It has the information about system calls...its prototypes and some macros...Actually as i mentioned my aim is implement a system call....so i have to edit that file which contain all system calls...so i was asking for entry.S...if that is not the relevant file then plz mention me the correct file where i can find system call entries (other than unistd.h)
