Could not load i2c-core!

right after loading lm_sensors modules i get an error saying

*    Could not load i2c-core!

When examine the error message from X i found following:

WARNING: Error inserting i2c-core (/lib/modules/2.6.19-gentoo-r5/kernel/drivers/i2c/i2c-core.ko): invalid module format
FATAL: Error inserting nvidia (/lib/modules/2.6.19-r5/video/nvidia.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

I tried searching threw dmesg for errors conserning nvidia and i2c_core but i am unsure what to post so i just post the whole dmesg here:

btw, i just updated wine & xchat but i doubt that has anything to do with this(?)

appears that i had forgotten to recompile my kernel, so a:

# cd /usr/src/linux && make && make modules_install && emerge nvidia-drivers && shutdown -r now

fixed it all
