Asymmetric Multiprocessing


How do I make my dual core processor to run in Asymmetric Multiprocessing Mode.

Disassociate the memory controllers.

How to disassociate the Memory controllers

I don't know how to do it. Can you give me some suggestions.

Nope. They're independent cores but they share the same links to the real world. A multi-core processor is not an entirely independent CPU with an entirely independent set of associated off-chip circuitry.

In a core2 duo machine, the L1 cache is within the processor, L2 cache is shared between the two processors and the memory is also shared. In this set up, how to make them as asymmetric multiprocessor?
