Weird, high pitched noise upon rebooting.

I have a dual boot system, win2k on one drive and Slack 10 on the other, using LILO as the bootloader. My USB keyboard died this weekend so I hooked up a spare PS/2 keyboard, new but never used. Everything works fine with no errors in either win2k or Slack 10, but every time I reboot I get this high pitched steady tone from inside my case that lasts about 5 seconds. Any ideas?

The bios may have a "tamper option" or something similar. You could have a look around the bios for it. There may also be something to do with keyboard recognition. It sounds like a bios recognition problem of some sort.
