USB1 to USB2 Upgrade Kit (Laptop) recommendations

Hiya,

I have an IBM T22 laptop running Suse Linux 10.2 (as well as Ubuntu 6.06 and Win 2000). Unfortunately it only has a single usb 1 (maybe it's 1.1, I'm not sure) port. I would like to but a USB 1 -> USB2 upgrade kit. I've seen some in the shops (a Belkin Hi-Speed 'USB2 upgrade' PCMCIA card) but have no idea if they work easily (or at all!) with Linux.

Any recommendations on what to get? Any advice greatly appreciated. FYI, I'm running a 2.6 kernel. I've tried the Linux hardware compatibility lists but to no avail. It's kind of a hard subject to google cause as soon as you enter in usb2 you get a million useless hits

Kind regards,
hdb

I have an HP PM453A that works nicely. The only thing I don't like is that it requires A/C power even though it connects to Cardbus. All of the USB2 cards I looked at were like that.
